Reorganising My Bookshelves

Because of yesterday’s bookhaul I desperately needed to make some space for the new books I bought. Here are some pictures, before and after:

I’m so glad the box and all the other stuff at the bottom left is gone. I had to reorganise the closet behind my bed as well to get rid of it, but it was totally worth it. As you can also see, back when I took the first picture I didn’t have my schoolbooks yet. I do now.

As you can see, all of the books except City of Bones are gone now. I moved Eleanor and Park a while ago: it’s now next to Fangirl behind my bed. All the other books are in my regular closet now so that I could have the entire TMI series here. Psyduck is still there as you can see. Psyduck will never leave. Never.

And here are some close-ups:

The Harry Potter series, Tales of Beedle the Bard in Dutch, Hogwarts Library collection, The Casual Vacancy, The Cuckoo’s Calling, Divergent, The Ocean at the End of the Lane, Crusade in Jeans and Ash Mistry and the Savage Fortress (still need to finish that series!). Also, while clearing out the closet behind my bed, I found this cute Cinderella snow globe and couldn’t understand I had put it in the closet!

The Percy Jackson series, The Demigod Files, Heroes of Olympus series, The Demigod Diaries, the Parasol Protectorate series, the Finishing School series and the Book Thief. No cute snow globe here.

This shelf is full of books I haven’t read/finished and series I haven’t finished. I’m missing the fifth installment in The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel and thus haven’t read The Enchantress yet either. Next isΒ KΓ΄t by Rafael Ábalos. I’m not sure if that’s the name in English, as I’ve never found an English version. I’m not sure it was translated in English, but if it was, go read it! (also read it if you speak Spanish as the original is Spanish or if you’re Dutch, you can read it in Dutch like I did) Okay, I have to be honest I read this years ago, so maybe it’s not actually that good. I just remember that I couldn’t stop reading. The book exists of three parts I believe and has three POVs in every part. The first two were always the same, but the last one changed. There was something about a virtual game, a murder and a cult, and in the end everything comes together. I dont’ remember it that well, but it was so good!
Next are the first two books in The Tapestry series, which I’ve never finished. I enjoyed the first two books, but it was ages ago when I read them, so I’d have to reread them first before I’d ever get back in it (and I might not even like them anymore). Beside those are The Spiderwick Chronicles and The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey. I don’t have the first book in the Benedict Society, as I borrowed it from the library and never went out to actually buy it. Next up are Throne of Fire, Nevermore and Fire, all of them unread as I haven’t read the first books in their series. I have read Death Note: Another Note, which I recommend to every Death Note fan, because it was really good. Last but not least The Lord of the Rings, which I still have to finish.

I Am Number Four, Cinder, The School for Good and Evil series, Doctor Who: The Silurian Gift, Stardust, Ouran High School Host Club, Fruits Basket fanbook, Fruits Basket, Kimi ni Todoke, Hana Kimi, Arashi fanbook, Ouran High School Host Club fanbook and some Japanese magazines.

At this shelf I keep my notebooks (though not all of them) and non-fiction books.

Runemarks, Merlin: The Lost Years, Looking for Alaska, The Maze Runner, DVDs (Buffy, Angel, Sherlock), CDs and another cute snow globe from 101 Dalmatians.

The other shelves are my schoolbooks and other schoolstuff, dictionaries, some more DVDs, manga drawingbooks etc. Not so interesting, haha. I’m dreading the day I buy more books, since that means reorganising themΒ all over again. I should put myself on a book buying ban, but… Impossible. Especially since Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods is coming out NEXT WEEK. Now, where will I put that one…?
