The first Weekly Hufflepuff in a few weeks! I sure missed doing these. I was actually tempted to skip this one, as I’m exhausted, but I managed to force myself to sit up and type haha.
I started and finished Stars Above and started Hollow City. I loved Stars Above and hope to review it sometime this week. I’m not sure yet how I feel about Hollow City. I really enjoyed the first book in the Miss Peregrine’s trilogy, but so far it feels like Hollow City is suffering from second book syndrome.
Hmm let’s see. I had the week off, except for Friday when I had to go to school for our radio broadcast. It was very stressful, but also a lot of fun and it went pretty well.
On Thursday one of my friends from secondary school came over and we mostly talked a lot and looked at old photos and videos and laughed our heads off. We also watched She’s The Man, which we used to be obsessed with, but now we realised that the film isn’t really that funny and it has a lot of plot twists haha. But it was still fun.
I finally got around to cleaning my room last weekend, not to mention reorganising my bookshelves. I’m really happy with the result and I’d post some pictures, but I really don’t want to get out of bed right now.
- I reviewed episodes 11, 12 and 13 of Shadowhunters

- Alyssa wonders if there can be too much diversity in books
- Evi talks about spring and created an awesome playlist for this season
- Eve talks about her Camp Nano Project, which she also created an awesome playlist for
- Want to befriend a bookworm, but you have no idea how? Don’t worry, Becca’s got you covered
- Kat shared the first line of an old story for the #FirstLineFriday tag
- Kara shares five books that influenced her debut
Tomorrow is the first day of my last term of my first year of journalism (damn this is one complicated sentence). I can’t believe how fast time has flown by, and while I’m excited to see what this term will bring, I’m also really ready for Summer holidays. The fact that I’ve spent this entire weekend in bed is proof of that.
How has your week been? What are you reading? Are you in need of Summer holidays as much as I am? Let me know in the comments!
Ugh ! Second book syndrome is the worst !
I have been on a break this week too and tomorrow I’m going back and I don’t want to 😢😢 because it is cramed and stressful and full of tests !
Also, I finished Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman and reviewed it and started Scarlet !
Oh my god, Summer YEEES ! It cannot come quick enough !
Aww I know the feeling :( Hopefully it will be Summer before you know it though! :D Oh I still need to read Neverwhere! And I hope you loved Scarlet :)
Yes you do, the writing is fantastic and the story is so unique too !
Yes I’m really loving it right now, such a treat.
I love what I’ve read of Neil Gaiman so far and reading the premise has me intrigued, so I really need to get my hands on it! Yay! I’m happy to hear that :)
Your not the only one who is looking forward to the Summer holidays! I just want them to come fast!
Right?! Like I really love studying journalism and it’s all very interesting, but I need some rest haha. Let’s hope they’ll be here in no time :)
I am in need of summer holidays as well, so, so, SO BADLY now, I need it ahah. Thank you so much for featuring my post, you’re so sweet! <3
Let’s hope time flies by so that before we know it, it’s summer holidays! You’re welcome, I loved reading it so naturally I had to share it! ❤
Oh yes let’s hope so <3 you are the sweetest!
There is sun! I wasn’t a big fan of the first book so it sounds like I made the right decision not to continue on with the series of miss peregrine.
The weather is so nice today! I hope it will continue to be nice the rest of the week. Yeah, if you didn’t like the first book I don’t think you’ll like the second either :/ It’s pretty boring and while I felt like the characters were unique in the first one, I’m having trouble keeping some of them apart..
AWW! Thanks for the shout-out that’s so sweet (: I wish I was organized enough to do something like this haha! It’s awesome that you’re studying journalism, I hope the rest of your studies go well! It gets simultaneously easier and harder in later years; easier because you’re used to the work, harder because the material is more complex. But college is totally rewarding!!
You’re welcome! I really enjoy your channel so obviously I had to share it :) I hope so too! So far I’m doing well, so fingers crossed! That’s good to hear! I will definitely keep that in mind when things get rough :)
Well I appreciate it! You can do it! (:
I love this feature. It has a real Sunday feel to it. I wish tidying my room were as easy as it is for Snow white with all the little birds helping out. Or maybe Mary Poppins lending a hand.
Thanks! :) Haha yeah or if you could just flick your wand and everything is tidy
The Hermoine way :)
I can’t wait for the summer holidays too!!! Good luck on your last term of Journalism!!! I can’t wait to study Journalism when I go to University! :)
Thanks! I hope you’ll enjoy it :D
I love these weekly posts! They’re an absolute joy to read.
Oh the feeling you get when you finally cleaned up and reorganised is the BEST. You make me want to go and do some cleaning now! 😜
Thank you! :) Isn’t it?! I just love looking around my room and seeing how neat and cozy it looks :) Haha go clean! :P If you have time of course!
Thanks for sharing a link to my post!
I can’t believe I was so excited about your Comic Con post and then I missed it – classic me … I am heading over right now though.
And I love playing Ace Attorney! We only had 2 of those games but I was totally obsessed!
You’re welcome! :) Haha don’t worry, happens to me all the time :P If you get the chance you should play the rest of the series :D
Ooooohhhh noooooo. I loved Miss Peregrine’s as well and I’m planning on picking up Hollow City soon, I do hope it’s good!
I feel like I’m in a minority though, so hopefully you’ll enjoy it more than I did! :) Though I still enjoyed it, just not as much as the first one.
Yeah second books syndrome sucks, I am so disappointed when the second book in a series isn’t as good as the first. Hopefully I’ll like it!
I am more than ready for the summer holidays :)
Only a few more weeks! :)
When do your summer holidays start? Mine start June 10th
Officially June 18th, but I might be done a few days before that. I have to hold a kind of presentation that week and I don’t know what day yet. But hey June 18th is two months away! We both have to endure about two more months. We’ve survived this long, surely we can manage right? :) (I hope haha)
We just have to trudge through the two or so months and we will be free!
Yes! We’ll be free elves :)
Dobby is free! Dobby is freeeeee
We need socks XD
Yes we do :D
I HAVEN’T MANAGED TO GET STARS ABOVE YET NOO. Hopefully soon, because I keep seeing everyone talking about it! Oh, we watched She’s the Man last year for English since it’s a retelling of Twelfth Night. It was…kind of cringey? But I did enjoy it especially in comparison to writing out essay notes ahaha. Thanks so much for the shout-out! :)
OOOOH YOU MUST GET IT!! Haha the first time I watched it I was 10/11 so I LOVED it and had no idea how bad it was. It was still fun to watch though, but it kind of ruined my memory of it :P Haha that’s understandable! You’re welcome :)
