Monthly Mixtape is a music feature created by Eve @ Twist in the Taile and Evi @ Adventuring Through Pages (check out their blogs!!). Each month they come up with a one-word prompt as inspiration for a playlist.
petrichor
petrichor, noun: a pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather.
I absolutely love the word ‘petrichor’ and its meaning. The songs I chose I find really relaxing, positive and/or hopeful in their messages, which is how I imagine petrichor would sound as a mixtape.
I love that last time Hayley Kiyoko dominated my playlist, now it’s Troye Sivan’s turn
How do you imagine petrichor would sound like? Any songs popping into your mind? Did I include one of your favourite songs? Let me know in the comments!
I LOOOOVE Petrichor. It always makes me think of Doctor Who and how I want a perfume to smell like it. Also, I adore the amount of Troye Sivan on this playlist.
Ohhh oh my goodness yes a perfume that smelled like petrichor would be amazing!
Thanks so much for participating Michelle! I was listening to this playlist as I wrote a new blog post and I LOVE IT SO MUCH – especially Like a Star and i can’t breathe. (I mean, I also love Troye Sivan very much. But I already knew that haha.) The whole playlist has such a wonderful vibe, I think it works so well with the prompt. :)
Petrichor is the name of a character in Saga who’s a trans woman! Every time I see that word now I think of her. She’s an awesome character ❤️
Oh that’s so cool!
