The Infinity Dreams Award | Someone Buy Me A Life-sized Snorlax Plush

Thank you Evi for tagging me! And sorry it took me like a year and a half to do this haha. If you don’t know her blog yet, please go check it out!

The Rules

💛Thank the blogger who tagged you

11 facts

Oh boy I’m terrible at coming up with facts about myself (I’d say that’s fact number 1 but I’m going to try and be more original than that lol) Okay let’s try this

  1. I’m currently listening to Keiynan Lonsdale’s Good Life on repeat and loving it
  2. When I was little I got chased by a dog on the beach. I ran away because I was scared but the dog thought I wanted to play
  3. A few years later I got chased by another dog, but the dog came for me, my friend, her mom and their dog first. Her mom told us to run because the dog had a really bad reputation (it had killed other dogs before). It almost bit my friend in her leg – it did not help my fear of dogs (I’m better with dogs now, but there are still dogs that scare me)
  4. I really, really want a Power Rangels sequel I loved that movie so much
  5. I want to rewatch it but there’s a scene that will make me cry thus I’m not rewatching it
  6. As a kid I was able to draw Winnie the Pooh from memory and according to my mom it was really good but I honestly have no idea if it was actually any good lmao
  7. I used to draw a lot but I don’t really enjoy it that much anymore so I barely do it nowadays
  8. I had a goldfish named Blub
  9. When I first played Pokemon Yellow I named my Snorlax after my brother – I wonder if I saw a resemblance or something lmao
  10. Speaking of Snorlax I really want a life-sized plushie (lifesize as in Snorlax’ real size)
  11. When I was little I dragged my family to the beach because I found out you can sometimes see dolphines at the Dutch beach (and I was going through my dolphins phase). There were no dolphins lol

This could be me

WOULD YA LOOK AT THAT. 11 FACTS WITHOUT ME CRYING FOR HELP BECAUSE I COULDN’T THINK OF ANY (okay I cried in my mind ssh)

Evi’s questions

What are you currently working on? Writing, artwork, musically, etc. Current WIP?

My current WIP is still my Camp Nano project, though I’m constantly planning/thinking about other projects as well (help) If you want to know more about my WIP, click here

What are you currently reading?

Well since this is scheduled a few weeks in advance (look at me go!) I have no idea what I’ll be reading by the time you’re reading this. While I’m writing this I haven’t started a new book yet, but I’ll either start Sorcerer to the Crown or Flame in the Mist. I haven’t decided yet.

Most interesting past revelation?

Ummm I don’t know? This is such an interesting question and I have no clue haha

Current phone/computer backgrounds?

If you were in the medieval era, who would you like to think you would be? (Peasant, farmer, queen/king, knight, etc.)

THE COURT’S SORCERESS HELL YEAH

Being a knight would be really cool too, until I stab myself in the eye with my sword

Expectations

Reality

Favorite outdoor scenery?

Ohhh I don’t know! I love trees and gardens but also pretty lakes and mountains and the sea especially at sunset… I just really love nature haha

Favorite season?

I really love both Spring and Autumn, but since I have hayfever I lean more towards Autumn. Both seasons are just the right temperature for me (in theory anyway) and they’re both so pretty!

Favorite thing about the outdoors?

The smell of nature

What fantasy/bookish landscape would you like to live in? (Hogwarts, Narnia, Bag End, etc.)

There are so many worlds I’d love to live in. Hogwarts is definitely at the top of the list, but the Pokemon world?? Yes please. I would love to travel through all the regions with my Pokemon. I’d also love to go to Watford and… No that’s it. I can’t think of any other world I’d actually love to live in because a lot of them are quite dangerous haha

Castles or skyscrapers?

CASTLES CASTLES CASTLES DID I MENTION I LOVE CASTLES BECAUSE I DO

Look at this beautiful castle I went to during the summer ❤️

Favorite color?

All the colours! Okay that’s not true. But I do love a lot of colours and don’t really have a favourite anymore? I do love pink and yellow a lot though

I won’t be tagging anyone, but if you want to share some facts about yourself and answer Evi’s questions, consider yourself tagged! If you were in the medievel era, who would you think you’d be? Do you love castles? Do you also want a life-sized Snorlax plushie? Let me know in the comments!

The Real Neat And Really Late Blog Award

Thank you Holly, Jesse, Rachel and The Jouska for tagging me! Also sorry to the first three that it took me this long. And don’t forget to check out all their blogs!

The rules

  1. Thank and link the blogger who nominated you.
  2. Answer the 7 questions the nomination has provided.
  3. Nominate 7 other bloggers.
  4. Create 7 questions for your nominees.

Sorry but I’m lazy 🙈

Holly’s questions

1. Who is your celebrity idol at the moment?

Ooh that has to be Dove Cameron. She’s such a sweet and inspiring person, yet also incredibly talented.

2. What book would you recommend your celebrity idol?

Oh I actually don’t know! If she hasn’t read The Perks of Being a Wallflower yet, maybe that one. I’d recommend that to almost everyone, but I also think she’d really love it.

3. What Hogwarts House would you be sorted into?

4. If you could go anywhere in the world for a week-long vacation, where would you go?

EVERYWHERE. Okay but seriously, like I said before in one of these tag posts, I really want to go to Japan. I think I’d need at least a week to explore Tokyo so let’s go with that one haha.

5. What is your favourite month of the year?

Hmm June maybe? It’s the end of the school year, it’s not that hot yet, summer holidays are around the corner, it’s my birthday month, other family members and friends have their birthday in this month as well, which means I’ll definitely see them and other family members… Yeah I’m going with June.

6. Would you rather only be able to read for the rest of your life or write?

THIS IS SUCH AN UNFAIR QUESTION HOLLY. I DON’T KNOW. I WANT BOTH.

7. What book are you currently reading?

Ooh tough one since this will be scheduled. As I’m writing this at the end of August I’m reading Persuasion by Jane Austen and rereading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Who knows what I’m reading once you’re reading this post. Maybe nothing because of school.

Jesse’s questions:

1. You’ve committed a crime and are going to jail for life. The judge allows you to bring three books with you and those are the only three books you’ll be reading for the rest of your life. Which three are they?

Oh my God what did I do did I murder someone? Uh okay so I’ll bring Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (though hopefully they’ve published all the books into one book by the time I’m going to jail so I can cheat – this cheating attitude is what will land me in jail isn’t it), The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Carry On.

2. You’ve been in a relationship with your man/women and things are getting serious, but out of the blue they ask you to choose them or your books. Which do you choose and why?

HAHA BYE

I don’t even want to be with a person who makes you choose between them and something you love??

3. You’re being held at gun point but the shooter says he will set you free if you burn three of your books. Which three would you choose?

I want to know the backstory of this shooter. Does he just break into people’s houses and make them burn some of their books? Why? Does he have some kind of vendetta against books? I’m seriously intrigued. The books that I didn’t enjoy recently are so pretty though: Uprooted, A Thousand Nights and The Crown’s Game. They’re all gorgeous hardbacks whyyyy.

4. There is a new law coming into effect. It bans (insert genre here) genre from ever being read/written again. Which genre would you choose?

Okay but I’d feel bad because there are people who love and enjoy every genre. I personally will never pick up erotica, so if I HAD to choose, like that shooter from question 3 comes back, I’d choose that, but I’d feel bad for the people who enjoy it.

5. With wanting more diversity in books nowadays, what is one aspect you believe should be represented more and why?

There just should be more non-white and non-straight characters for starters. Oh and we need more HEALTHY relationships

6. Your favourite author is going to call you for a once in a lifetime chance to talk. You can only ask them one question. Who is the author and what is the question? Why?

THIS IS GIVING ME SO MUCH STRESS. WHY WOULD J.K. ROWLING CALL ME. HOW DID SHE GET MY NUMBER. WHAT WOULD I ASK HER. I DON’T EVEN KNOW. OH MY GOD I WOULD BLOW THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE #RIPME

7. Hero, Assassin, or Prince/Princess? You can only pick one. Which do you choose to be in a story with you as the main character?

Hero I guess? I would definitely not want to kill people for a living and being a princess would be boring. Though heroes sometimes have to kill too and I don’t want that. ADVENTURE THOUGH

Rachel’s questions:

1. Do you have a favourite reading spot?

My bed, maybe. It doesn’t matter though. As long as I can read and am at least a bit comfy.

2. Are there any movie/TV adaptations you like more than the book?

Okay so this is an unpopular one, but I really think I prefer Shadowhunters over the books? I know they’re not perfect, but the books are quite problematic. They’ll always have a special place in my heart and they were fun to read, but I really love the show more than the books

3. What was your favourite book as a kid?

Ooh that changed all the time, but one of them was definitely Pluk van de Petteflet, a Dutch children’s book. It’s been translated into English as ‘Tow-Truck Pluck’

4. Do you make/listen to book playlists?

I used to listen to them, but 8tracks now only works through Youtube for me and A LOT of songs are skipped because of this, so I can’t listen to them anymore (#RIP8tracks I miss the site you used to be). The playlists I make are for my own books

5. Do you have an favourite publishers?

Not really, I never really pay attention to the publisher

6. What do love most about blogging?

Meeting so many lovely people and making friends for life <3

7. Shelfie?

The Jouska’s questions:

1. What’s the story behind your blog name?

I love to write and I’m a Hufflepuff

2. Do you plan your posts before writing them or are you more spontaneous?

Sometimes I plan them, like when I wrote my Kpop Songs That Make Me Want To Write All The Things posts, in that I chose the songs beforehand or with my Bookish Pop Funkos I Need in My Life post I thought up which characters I’d like to see as Pop Funkos before writing it, but usually I’m more spontaneous.

3. Is there any book that you could read over and over again without getting bored?

The Harry Potter books of course, but also The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Percy Jackson, The Heroes of Olympus, Fangirl, Carry On, Anna and the French Kiss and Lola and the Boy Next Door.

4. Who’s your favorite Talk Show host?

Graham Norton

5. Would you rather read the book first and then watch the movie or vice versa?

Read the book first! Though of course sometimes it happens the other way around. Like with Percy Jackson; I had no idea it was a book when I saw the first movie at the cinema. See, the movies are good for something

6. Have you ever gotten the opportunity to meet your idol? (It can be anybody, a celebrity, author, singer, and so on.)

Nope

7. How many languages can you speak?

Dutch and English. I recently removed Spanish from my resume because who am I kidding. I’ve forgotten most of it since I took my final Spanish exam.

Sooo if a shooter made you burn three books, which ones would you choose? Let me know in the comments!

It’s Time for ANOTHER Late Award: The One Lovely Blog Award

Thank you Samantha for tagging me and sorry it took me so long! When this goes up it will have been roughly a year – oops. Anyway, if you haven’t yet, go check out her lovely blog!

The rules:

  1. Thank the nominator and link them
  2. List the rules
  3. Add seven facts about yourself
  4. Nominate seven other bloggers and notify them of the nomination

I won’t be nominating anyone today, since I know a lot of people have already done this and while I tend to do these kind of awards over and over again, I know not everyone likes to do that.

SEVEN FACTS ABOUT ME

  1. Not too long ago I thought of a fact about myself and thought: hey, I could use that for one of those tags! Naturally I’ve forgotten what that fact was
  2. I’m really starting to prefer We Heart It to Pinterest – gasp!
  3. I’m in love with my new My Melody phone case (though by the time this is posted it’s not that new anymore) – it’s adorable. One day I shall post a picture of it
  4. If I could bring one Pokemon into our world, it’d be Arceus because it’s said that it created the entire Pokemon race. Which means that if I were to bring Arceus into our world it could create the entire Pokemon race here #score
  5. Ouran High School Host Club will forever be my favourite manga
  6. I tend to just reread my favourite manga all the time and occasionally read a new one
  7. Speaking of which, my most recent new read was Orange and it was brilliant and made a huge impact on me. I can’t stop thinking about it. Definitely recommend it

Since I’m not tagging anyone, what are some facts about you? Which Pokemon would you bring to our world? What is your favourite manga? Let me know in the comments!

I’m Slowly Catching Up – Liebster Award

Thank you Richard, Louisse and Alex for nominating me!  I’ve decided to take a few questions that I’ve answered before out, since this post is going to be very long anyway

Richard’s questions:

1. Favourite Book?

Series: Harry Potter. Standalone: The Perks of Being a Wallflower

2. What famous-for-being-famous “celebrity” do you hate the most?

No one. I’m not that familiar with these kind of celebrities so I can’t hate them.

3. If you could have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Hmm. Honestly I’d get bored of everything at some point haha. Yes, even chocolate

Me after my 3252543457 chocolate bar in a row because I’m not allowed to eat anything else

4. Popular or acclaimed film that you did not like?

Hmm I don’t know. I don’t watch that many films in the first place. I do have to admit that while I liked it I’m not as excited about Inside Out as everybody else is/was. I enjoyed The Good Dinosaur more (if we were to compare Disney releases of the same year)

5. Advice or tips you wish you would have had when starting blogging?

Try to get as involved in the community as you can. There ARE others out there haha (seriously in the beginning I found it so difficult to find other book bloggers!)

6. What person in history would like to meet, and why?

Van Gogh. He’s my favourite artist and an inspiration.

7. Which fictional character do you see yourself as?

Hermione Granger, Cath Avery, Rory Gilmore and Penelope Bunce

8. What underrated book or film do you like, and you would want others to check out?

Stuck in Love is my favourite movie besides The Perks of Being a Wallflower and SO UNDERRATED. Most people don’t even know it exists. But it’s so beautiful and inspiring and I loved it so much (that said it’s been a while since I’ve seen it so don’t quote me on this)

Louisse’s questions:

1. Which scene in a book really made you cry and why?

A lot of scenes make me cry, but since I don’t want to spoil anyone I’m going with the Mirror of Erised scene(s). They always make me cry (who am I kidding everything about Harry Potter makes me cry)

2. What factors make you decide to read or pick a certain book to read?

Summary, mostly. If that doesn’t convince me than reviews of trusted bloggers will.

3. How many TBR books you have right now?

Physically? I’m reaaaally too lazy too count haha.

4. What is your favorite thing about blogging?

Meeting so many lovely people

5. What’s your favorite movie adaptation of a book?

The Perks of Being a Wallflower hands down

6. What is your most favorite series and name your favorite character in that series

Hahahaha time for predictability again: Harry Potter. I can’t choose a favourite character though. I have too many. I love them all

7. Name your favorite top 5 authors

J.K Rowling, Rick Riordan, Patrick Ness, Marissa Meyer and Rainbow Rowell (not necessarily in order)

8. What other stuff you like to do aside from reading?

Writing, blogging, gaming, photography, travelling, to name a few

9. Which book has your most favorite cover? And are you guilty of sometimes buying a book because it has a beautiful cover? If yes, what book is it?

Nooo I can’t choose. I have quite a few beautiful books. No, I’m not. The cover will pique my interest, but if the summary doesn’t make me want to read the book, I won’t pick it up

10. What books do you want to have a cross-over and which world would it be? (Like the characters in a particular book meets the characters of another book in a certain world.)

Oh oh I really want the Rampion Squad to go to Hogwarts. Okay I want all my favourite characters to go to Hogwarts because I love those AUs (if anyone has some good fan fic recs let me know!)

Alex’ questions:

1. Which landmark do you wish was near you?

Versailles. I want to go so badly so it’d be great if it was a little bit nearer haha (I mean France is already pretty close of course)

2. What was the last song you listened to, and which album have you listened to most in your lifetime?

Well right now I’m listening Breathe by Miss A so I’m going to go with that one haha. I really have no idea what album I’ve listened most to!

3. Sentimentally speaking, which is your most prized possession?

My grandmother’s wedding ring

4. What’s one surprising thing about yourself most people don’t know?

Ooh good question. I think most people don’t know how obsessed I am when it comes to fandom haha

5. If you could only choose one food/drink and make it healthy, what would it be?

NO ALEX THIS IS SUCH AN UNFAIR QUESTION. Why can’t all tasty unhealthy food be healthy *sigh* Everything chocolatey. Yes that’s a good answer. Everything that has chocolate in it is now healthy

6. If you could choose your own nickname, what would you want it to be?

Ooh I don’t know. I’m usually called ‘Mich’ (not pronounced like Mish but the i sounds like ee in cheese and ch as an s) and I like that, but I don’t know, Shell is pretty cute too?

7. Is there a quote that has special significance for you?

”Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn on the light”

8. If you own any painting in the world, which one would it be?

Starry Night from Van Gogh. It’s my favourite painting of all times so I would love to own it

9. Which TV character would you most want to hang out with in real life?

Rory Gilmore! We’d get along fine I think

I won’t be tagging anyone, but what food or drink would you make healthy? Let me know in the comments!

The Creative and Very Late Blogger Award

When did I get so bad at tags oh my Wizardgod guys. Lia tagged me a year ago, Joan thankfully this year (but still in February so that’s a pretty long time too) so sorry guys. Anyway, go check out their wonderful blogs!

RULES

  • Thank the person who nominated you and include a link to their blog.
  • Share 5 facts about yourself.
  • Nominate some bloggers in return and notify them about their nomination.
  • Keep the rules in your post to make it easy for everyone to know what to do.

FACTS ABOUT ME

  1. When I first got a computer at age 9ish I think, I discovered the website websitemaker.nl (no longer exists) and made a lot of websites. One of them was called ‘Barbie Magazine’
  2. My first cosplay was Yuuki from Vampire Knight, but since my mom didn’t have time to make a jacket she bought one that looked a little bit like it. It wasn’t the greatest cosplay and it was really hot, but it was still fun!
  3. Though it has died down a bit since I first saw the movie, I’m obsessed with Baymax
  4. I love spicy food
  5. I love making lists (a little too much probably)

I thought of doing 10 facts since I was tagged by two people, but it was already hard enough coming up with five haha.

I’m not tagging anyone in specific, but what are some facts about you? Do you love Baymax and/or spicy food? What was your first cosplay? Let me know in the comments!

Another Very Late Tag – The Sunshine Blogger Award

Thank you Yvo, Janet, Kayleigh and Cassie for tagging me! Go check out their lovely blogs. I apologise in advance that this is going to get quite long. I’m really behind on tags (Yvo and Janet tagged me for this a year ago.. so sorry guys.) so I’m turning this into one post.

Yvo’s questions:

1. What is your favorite read so far this year?

Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness

2. Physical copy, e-copy or audiobook?

Physical

3. Which five things you can’t live without when you go on vacation?

A book, my camera, sunglasses, a notebook and thus pencils

4. Which travel destinations are high on your list if money wouldn’t be a problem?

Japan,  always Japan

5. What is your favourite genre and book belonging to that genre?

Fantasy and Harry Potter (I’d say I’m getting predictable but my blog name is The Writing Hufflepuff so I’ve been predictable since day 1)

6. If you could have any superpower, which one would it be?

I’d love to be able to heal everything so that I could save everyone. Of course this would come with a lot of responsibility and I still wouldn’t be able to save everyone since there are so many people in the world, but still.

7. How do you decide what you read next? Do you have a TBR jar; and if you do, do you always read the book you pick?

I look at my shelves to see what I’m in the mood for

8. What are your thoughts on DNFing a book?

If you’re not enjoying it and have to force yourself to finish it, just drop it.

9. Love triangles: do you enjoy them or are they a huge turn off?

Turn off. Except The Infernal Devices (this was floating around the blogosphere a while ago, about how a lot of YA readers hate them, except for TID haha)

10. What genres do you normally stay away from?

Erotica. Just nope

11. What is your favorite supernatural creature? Why?

Ooooh I love them all. That doesn’t count does it? But it’s true. I find them all interesting

Janet’s questions:

1.What subject do you think should be taught in schools? (It can be absolutely anything)

How To Survive In The Real World 101 in which you learn how to handle money, CPR but also  things like politics.

2. What subject do you think should NOT be taught in schools?

Oh I have no idea. While I didn’t enjoy all subjects in secondary school I did see why they were important

3. Whipped cream or ice cream?

Seriously I love both so much

4. If you woke up to find you were the only person on Earth, what would be the first thing you’d do?

Search the Earth to see if there’s really no one left

5. Favourite childhood book?

Pluk van de Petteflet, which has been translated into English (Tow-truck Pluck). I loved that book so much. It still gives me warm fuzzy feelings thinking about it.

6. What is your favourite desert?

Chocolate. Chocolate is always good. Chocolate never lets me down. Except that’s a lie. I tried these cute panda shaped chocolates a few days ago and it was disgusting. Didn’t even taste like chocolate. I was nauseous the rest of the evening.

7. What gives you inspiration to write blog posts?

Everything. Books, tv shows, movies, music, games, the news, real life, personal experiences, just my brain (with that I mean that often ideas just come to me out of nowhere so I’d hereby like to thank my brain)

8. Which is your favourite day of the week and why?

Friday, because it’s the start of the weekend and it feels like I still have so much free time left, unlike Saturday evening and Sunday

9. An alien visits Earth and asks you to teach it one thing. What do you teach it?

Um. Damn Janet you have such interesting questions and I have no interesting answers haha. I dunno just show him that while humanity screws up a lot we also do a lot of amazing things so please don’t invade us/kill us all?

10. What’s your favourite season and why?

Spring and Autumn, and since I have hay fever I tend to lean more towards Autumn.

11. Why did you decide to start your blog?

I wanted to have my own space to talk about things I’m passionate about (mostly books and writing) and through it meet people who are just as passionate (I’d say mission accomplished! Though I always want to meet more people)

Kayleighs’ questions:

1. What’s your favourite thing in the entire world?

My mom

2. If you could re-read any book before you died what would you pick?

Going to be very unpredictable again and say Harry Potter haha

3. What would you say is the best Disney film?

HAHA NOPE SORRY KAYLEIGH BUT I’M NOT CHOOSING. I just can’t

4. If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

Again, Japan

5. What is your biggest pet peeve?

You know, I have SO MANY pet peeves (you guys think I’m sweet and positive but I can be so bitter haha), but whenever someone asks me about them I forget them haha. People who are rude to another person without any reason is definitely one. Why can’t we just be polite to one another? Speaking of which, when I greet the bus driver and they say nothing back.

6. Do you like rainy days or snowy winter days more?

Rainy days. While I do like how everything looks covered in snow, it quickly melts and becomes brown, so it’s no longer pretty and is just a nuisance.

7. What’s the best gift you ever received?

Oh um. I don’t know! I just appreciate every gift. It’s the thought behind it that counts after all.

8. If you could wish for anything that would come true, what would you wish?

Never-ending world peace

9. Where would you go in a time travel machine?

EVERYWHERE. Everywhere that is safe anyway haha. Don’t want to get my head chopped off or die from the plague or something lovely like that

10. What superpower would you most like to have?

Like I said earlier, I would love to have healing powers

11. If you were guaranteed the answer to one question, what would your question be?

Aaah you guys need to stop with your deep questions I have no deep answers to return hahaha. There are probably a thousand questions I’d want to ask, but at times like this my mind just goes blank.

Cassie’s questions:

1. Favourite Icecream Flavour?

Probably cookie dough. I really love vanilla though. Whenever I try out a new flavour I always get vanilla as well just to be safe

2. How do you prefer your water?

A) Room temperature (from the tap)
B) Room temperature with ice cubes in it
C) Refrigerated
D) Other

Though if it’s hot I want ice cubes in it

3. Mac or PC?

Mac. I’m so used to my Macbook that I can’t work on a PC or non-Apple laptop anymore

4. Do you get annoyed when people say “[this book] is the next [popular book]”?

YES! Because if they compare it to a book I didn’t like I’m less likely to pick it up, even though this book might be really good and nothing like the book they’re comparing it with so I’m missing out. And if they’re comparing it with a book I loved my expectations will be so high that it’s very likely I’ll be disappointed. Please don’t do this.

5. It’s Christmas eve. You hear a noise, so you go searching and discover Santa Claus leaving presents under the tree. Turns out he’s real. What do you do?

I’d probably scream because there’s a stranger in my house (even if they offer you presents, never trust a stranger kids!)

6. Do you like sports?

7. You are going away for a weekend. Do you pack:

A) Only a couple of clothes, it’s only for a weekend after all
B) Enough clothes to last a month, you won’t know what you feel like wearing when you get there
C) Practically your entire wardrobe, the weather could do anything…

8. If you could afford it, which book/book series would you own every possible edition of?

Harry Potter. I’m actually already working on this collection. I’ve already got the old Dutch editions  since they’re the ones I grew up with, the original Bloomsbury editions of Philosopher’s Stone and Deathly Hallows and the new Bloomsbury editions of all the books.

9. What’s your method for writing a blog post? (eg/ Do you schedule/draft posts, or do you just write and post)?

I used to be a scheduling pro, and I’m slowly getting my head back in the game, but I often just get an idea, write and post it as well

10. How long have you known your best friend?

Ooh I honestly don’t know! I feel like it’s been forever but that’s impossible haha. I’ve been blogging for a little over two years now, so it can’t be longer than that.

11. Have you enjoyed answering these questions?

YES

I won’t be tagging anyone this time, but what superpower would you like to have? And what’s your favourite ice cream flavour? Let me know in the comments!

Very Inspiring Blogger Award

Thank you Quizzically Challenged for nominating me for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award! I was very surprised as I don’t feel like an inspiring blogger haha, so it means a lot to me! Thank you so much <3

The rules:

  1. Thank the person that nominated you.
  2. Add the logo to your post (I couldn’t find the logo- woops)
  3. Nominate 10 other bloggers you think are inspiring.
  4. Answer the questions given to you.
  5. Give 5 new questions for your nominees to answer.

The questions:

Have you ever read any book which made you wish that you wrote it? If so, then why?

No actually!

What is your weirdest characteristic?

Uh well I recently realised this:

Cursive or print?

I don’t really have an opinion about this I’m afraid!

Any annoying songs stuck in your head at the moment? Or which was the most recent one?

Nope! Only good ones thank goodness! I don’t remember the most recent one, nor do I want to remember. If I do, it will be stuck in my head again!

If you had a choice between reading your favourite lesson in your schoolbooks or the worst book you’ve read so far, which would you choose? (and which are they?)

Uh well a lesson is shorter than an actual book and if it’s my favourite it’s interesting! I’m not sure what I’d call the worst book I’ve read so far, but I definitely wouldn’t want to reread it! My favourite lesson… Hmm, I think I’d reread something from my old social sciences reader! I kept it as I think it’d be useful for writing references.

The Brother- and Sisterhood Awards

Some time ago (understatement *gulp*) I was tagged by Janet and Aimee for the Brotherhood of the World Bloggers Award and the Sisterhood of the World’ Bloggers Award. Since the two are pretty much the same except for the name, I decided to combine them! Thanks to both of you and sorry it took me so long. Don’t forget to check out their blogs!

The rules:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to them
  • List the rules and place the logo for the award on your blog
  • Answer the questions given to you
  • Nominate other bloggers (try for around ten)
  • Set them questions to answer

Janet’s questions:

What is your favourite take away food?

Who is your favourite band?

I have a lot of favourite bands, but if I really had to choose I’d choose Lifehouse. I’ve been a fan for a very long time, their music is so inspirational and beautiful and just means a lot to me. In September I got to see them live and it was AMAZING.

Where do you really want to visit?

SO. MANY. PLACES. Let’s skip the fictional ones (*sob* HOGWARTS. HOGSMEADE. CAMP HALFBLOOD. IDRIS. SO MANY MORE). I can’t choose one, so I’m going with two: Japan (mostly Tokyo, but I want to go to so many more places in Japan) and Paris (and if I had to choose one place in Paris it’d be Versailles).

What is your favourite song at the moment?

I’m obsessed with Control by Halsey (thank you Josie for fangirling so many times in your posts about Halsey so that I checked her out <3

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Awkward. Clumsy. Hungry

Thoughts on spicy food?

LOVE IT. A lot of times my mom will be gasping because it’s so hot and I just casually continue eating my food haha.

Which decade would you most like to live in?

Of the 21st century? While I love the twenties, I wouldn’t want to live in them. Same with the fifties. I think I’d go with the nineties. I was born in ’97, so I didn’t really get to live in them, but I really love the nineties!

Aimee’s questions:

What is your go-to feel good song?

Any song by Arashi! But I’ll put Happiness down here for you guys to listen to (you can’t go wrong with a song called ‘Happiness’):

What book are you going to read next?

I’m currently reading Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer. Once I’ve finished that, I’ll get back to The Silkworm!

Bookmarks, or folding the pages?

Bookmarks all the way! I don’t like folding pages and I just love pretty bookmarks.

Paperback, hardback or digital?

I’m torn between paperback and hardbacks. Paperbacks are cheaper, but hardbacks are often prettier! I’m just going to go with both, as it just depends on which they have at the bookstore, how pretty the book is in hardback, the price difference, how much I’m interested in the book…

Who is your hero? Why?

My mom. I don’t want to write about it again as it’s tough for me, but I wrote a post about it.

What is your dream job?

Being a writer!

Is the glass half full, or half empty?

Depends on my mood haha. Right now I’d say half full!

What’s you dream holiday?

JAPAN

If you could be trapped in a TV show for a day, which would you pick and why?

I’d love to travel with the Doctor through time and space!

What’s your favourite colour?

Marine blue!

I won’t tag anyone this time (why did I leave out ‘lazy’ at the three words question??). Is there a TV shows any of you would love to be trapped in? It wouldn’t surprise me if I thought of answer later today! Let me know in the comments!

Sisterhood of the World Blogger’s Award

Thank you Jess from Princessica of Books, Camyll from Camyll Reads and Travelling in My Bookcase for nominating me for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award!

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and link to their blog in your post.
  2. Answer the questions that the blogger who nominated you has provided.
  3. Nominate ten other bloggers (or up to 10).
  4. Create ten questions for your nominees and notify them of their nominations.

Jess’ questions:

1. Why did you start blogging?

I had blogged before, but not about books and writing, also not on WordPress but on Blogger. I did like writing (of course I did!), but there was something missing. I wasn’t really writing about my passions (I didn’t even think of book blogging) and I didn’t really meet the nice community that I have met now, so it just wasn’t fun! Last year my mom asked me why I didn’t have a blog and I started thinking: ‘why don’t I blog anymore?’ so I took the leap, started this blog and decided to just write about whatever I wanted.

2. What is the last book you have read?

I don’t know when I’ll schedule this, so I don’t know! Right now I just finished rereading Fangirl, but since I probably won’t look at these answers before I schedule/publish this, just assume it’s something else haha.

3. What fictional character do you wish was real?

A better question would be: what fictional character do you NOT wish was real. I mean how can I just choose one? So I’m going to tell you who I do not want to be real: Voldemort. Like hell no.

4. Who is your current book-boyfriend?

Um, you mean my newest one? Because I do not dump the old ones. We got a polygamous thing going here haha. The newest addition would be Jason from Magonia. He’s such a sweetheart.

5. What is your favorite thing about the place you live?

I guess that it’s pretty tolerant. At least more tolerant than other places!

6. What is your favourite genre to read?

Fantasy! Always has been, always will be.

7. Who is your best friend and why?

I have to friends I’d consider my best friends, because we never stopped being friends even if we had fights. I can always count on them and because they always make me laugh.

8. Roughly, how many books do you own?

Uuuh that’s a tough one. See, I have quite a lot of books in the closet behind my bed. And are we talking fiction and non-fiction? And how about manga? And drawing books?

But you asked roughly, so I’m going to go with 200+ haha. It might be 300 (I really don’t know how many books are in that closet), but definitely not much more than that! Sadly.

9. What Hogwarts house are you in?

10. What’s the farthest you have been away from home, and how long?

We went to Bali when I was eleven, so that was the farthest from home. I think we went for two weeks. Unless you meant without my family, then it was Rome two years ago for a week with school.

Camyll’s questions:

1) How did you come up with your blog name?

Well I’m almost literally a writing Hufflepuff! (I say almost ’cause sadly I’m a Muggle who has never been to Hogwarts thus I’m not literally a Hufflepuff but pssh details).

2) What color(s) best describes yourself?

Uh I have no idea! Let me take a quiz.

You got: Vermilion

You are a warm and welcoming person, using your boundless energy to bring joy to everyone around you. You love to help others and become an integral part of their lives. It’s pretty cool of you, honestly.

I hadn’t even thought of vermillion. You learn something every day!

3) Who are your top 5 best heroines?

I always wonder with heroines: do they have to be the protagonist or not? If not: Hermione Granger, Annabeth Chase, Celaena Sardothien, Cinder and Isabelle Lightwood. This is not a top 5 by the way, just five of my favourite heroines! I decided to stick to one heroine per book.

4) What is your favorite thing about blogging?

Making all these new friends and talking with them regularly!

5) Which fictional character can you mostly relate to?

Hermione Granger and Cath Avery from Fangirl.

6) Do you trust anyone with your books?

Well I know my mom would never ruin one of my books. I don’t have any bookworm friends in real life, so I’ve never thought about it.

7) What is your favorite word in English? Least favorite?

There are quite a few words I like in English. The first one that came to mind was ‘marvellous’. It just sounds, well, marvellous haha. I wouldn’t know what my least favourite is!

8) What is your biggest success up until now?

Graduating from secondary school and getting into journalism.

9) If you had a chance for a “do-over” in life, what would you do differently?

I’d stand up for myself back in primary school and the first few years of secondary school. Up until my fourth year of secondary school I didn’t do this, and a lot of times I think of sending my current self back in the past to give all those bullies and people who looked down on me a piece of my mind.

10) If you were to write your own book, who would be the person that gets to read it first?

Well I am writing my own book and the first person would be my mother! I trust her a lot to give me honest feedback, so even if she’s my mother I know she won’t pretend like it’s the best thing ever written when it’s not.

Travelling in My Bookcase’s questions:

1. Your favourite PC Game of all time?

I don’t play PC games! I used to though; there was this Barbie game where she was a spy which I absolutely loved.

2. If you had to go without reading or blogging which would it be?

As much as I love blogging, I couldn’t give up on reading.

3. What is your favourite book romance of all time?

So basically you want me to choose one OTP.

Percabeth. Percabeth for life. Also Romione and Malec though.

4. If you could relive your childhood in a book series which would it be?

Harry Potter duh.

5. What ideas do you most get from blogs?

Usually I see fun tags on other blogs that I want to do!

6. What type of blog post is your favourite to read?

Ooh that’s a toughy (that’s totally a word).  I love reading discussion posts, but also wrap-ups and tags, personal posts, posts where writers talk about their writing… I can’t choose one type of post!

7. What genre of book do you read most often?

Fantasy.

8. What story could you read again and again?

Definitely Harry Potter, but Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus and a few others as well!

9. If you could be any character from a tv or anime series who would you be?

I actually never really want to be a character, I’d rather live in their world and be friends with them!

10. Where would you most like to live?

If we’re talking real live places I’d want to stay in Amsterdam. If we’re talking fictional I’d say Hogsmeade!

I won’t be nominating anyone, as I don’t know who has and hasn’t done this yet and if those who have already done this want to do it again. Also I’m too lazy to come up with any good questions haha.
