Merry Christmas Ya Beautiful Bloggers | Spreading The Blog Love

I can hear you thinking ‘Michelle it’s not Christmas yet??’ though on the other hand I know a lot of bloggers already yell ‘IT’S CHRISTMAS’ November 1st so maybe not?

Anyway, I’ve decided that for this month I’d start a new feature/sort of campaign called: Merry Christmas Ya Beautiful Bloggers, inspired by Home Alone. Well, the name is. Other than that it has nothing to do with Home Alone.

So whatΒ is Merry Christmas Ya Beautiful Bloggers?

In multiple posts this month, I shall highlight some amazing bloggers. I’ve been very hesitant to do this all year (I’ve thought of it multiple times) because I hate the idea of people feeling left out. Of course that’s going to happen anyway, but I still want to spread some love and introduce people to some blogs that they may not know. And maybe other people will pick this up and spread the love for bloggers I missed?

Also this isn’t limited to book bloggers and the order is completely random.

Anyway, what better time to do this than Christmas? Let’s spread some love

** Sorry that this isn’t in chronological order but I don’t work in chronological order. ANYWAY I first typed Blogman so almost a new man in Em’s life was born

So that’s the first eight! I’m not sure how many posts there will be in total. At first I thought I’d do one post a week, but I quickly realised that would not be enough haha. We’ll see!

3 Years of Blogging

For the past few weeks I’ve been telling myself: don’t forget your blogoversary!!!

Guess what almost happened.

It’s very lucky that I feel better (this past week I’ve been dealing with severe pains in my neck, back and shoulder due to all the stress I had this school year) and decided to check WordPress or I wouldn’t have realised that today was my blogoversary woops (why didn’t the WordPress app on my phone remind me)

SO I’VE BEEN BLOGGING FOR EXACTLY THREE YEARS SAY WHAT

I’m probably repeating my last two anniversary posts but oh well. Not everyone who’s following me now was following me back then and if you were, do you really remember those posts? I doubt it (if you do woah great memory)

When I started this blog exactly three years ago I did not think I’d still be here three years later. There have been lots of ups and downs, especially this past school year as I was in a huge blogging slump even when I had the time and energy to write. But I’m still here! I didn’t give up and I’m really proud of that.

Not giving up has a LOT to do with all of you. I’ve met so many lovely people that I can’t imagine my life without and this past school year I missed all of you so much. Thank you for sticking with me, whether you’ve been here from the beginning or since yesterday <3

The Weekly Hufflepuff #40

Two days late, but better late than never right? I was going to post this Sunday evening, but was suddenly too exhausted. Same story yesterday when I got home, so here we are! Let’s wrap up this week shall we?

whatiread

Oh boy, looking at my Goodreads shows me that this week wasn’t too good:

  • Darkness Reigns (The Kinsman Chronicles #1.1? Was this not the entire first book? What) by Jill WilliamsonΒ β˜…
  • Magic of Thieves (Legends of Dimmingwood #1) by C. GreenwoodΒ β˜…
  • Crushed (The Witch-Game #1) by Kasi BlakeΒ β˜…

Yep. Thankfully Wink Poppy Midnight made up for it. Wink Poppy Midnight was my first book for the ReadThemAllThonΒ hosted by AenteeΒ and now I’ve started Persuasion.

personal

The weather was finally nice again on Wednesday, so my mom and I went out to enjoy the sun. I also took some bookstagram photos and some photos for a future Blogsterdam post. I felt like such a good blogger haha.

Sadly the nice weather was already over the next day when I went shopping with a friend. It was pretty much raining all day, but it didn’t bother us (that much haha). We had some delicious donuts, that had filling inside of them. I had a stroopwafel one (stroopwafels would literally translate to ‘syrup waffle’):

We’re definitely going there again; we want to try more donuts haha. Favourite quote of the day from my friend: ‘where are we going to eat next’. I’ve got the right friends haha (we’re most likely going to get pizza)

I’m also trying to work on my health, because even though I eat pretty healthy (SHE SAYS AFTER POSTING A PICTURE OF A DONUT OH MY GOD THIS IS SO UNBELIEVABLEΒ πŸ˜‚) I don’t do any sports or anything, so I’m trying to walk more. Bless Pokemon Go for existing, though I’m also going to try to just listen to music.

And what’s happening with my tv shows? I lovedΒ yesterday’s episode of The Fosters which focused on the girls’ robotics team and remember how in my post about tv shows that I’m currently watching I wrote that I couldn’t really get into Supergirl? Guess who finished the rest of the season within a week. I don’t know if the first three episodes were just slow or if I wasn’t in the mood to watch it, but I’m addicted. So while waiting for season 2 I’ve now started The Flash.

what I posted-2

I did pretty well last week, especially since all of these were scheduled. I think I’ve got one scheduled for this week? And I still haven’t scheduled anything for when school starts again – eek!

elsewhere

And that was my week! How was yours? What did you read? Are you participating in the ReadThemAllThon? How are you doing? Let me know in the comments!

Two Years of The Writing Hufflepuff

I’ve been trying to start this post for a while now, and have been failing haha. I don’t want to repeat what I said last year about how back when I started I didn’t think I was going to keep this up (aaaaand I just repeated myself haha), though honestly I am a bit shocked that I’m still here. I kept this blog up through my senior year of secondary school and my first year of college, two incredibly busy years. I’ve taken hiatuses and breaks, but all in all I’m still here. I’ve written almost 500 posts, some of which I’m really proud of and others not so much (especially in the beginning when I had no clue what I was doing). I’ve met SO MANY lovely people. This year was even better than last year because I made so many more friends and really feel part of the (book) blogging community now. I can’t imagine my life without blogging and without any of you guys. I don’t even remember what it was like without this lovely community.

I wanted to do something special for my blogoversary, but school was on my mind until roughly two weeks ago, so I didn’t have much time. Plus I had no idea what to do, besides a giveaway and that’s just not financially possible right now. One day I really want to do one to thank all you guys for taking the time to read my rambles and comment. You guys make my day.

I’m not planning on stopping anytime soon. I’ve still got so many ideas for posts to write and I can’t imagine not being a part of this community anymore. So I’m definitely not going anywhere.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING ME THE LAST TWO YEARS

Also don’t forget that the first #YoungWritersChat will be THIS Saturday, 9 PM (CEST)!
