Music Monday: Dance

Music Monday is a bi-weekly link-up hosted by Bridget from Stay and Watch the Stars. It’s been a while since I did a Music Monday, but I (sort of) have the time and I feel better, plus I don’t want to miss this theme: Dance!

Shut Up and Dance – WALK THE MOON

This was the first song that I thought of when I read the theme haha

Shake it Off – Taylor Swift

Dancing Queen – ABBA

Pretty much all of their songs Wild at Heart – Arashi

Yeah it was hard for me to choose since a lot of their songs are perfect for dancing, but in the end I decided on Wild at Heart

I Really Like You – Carly Rae Jepsen

You’re The One I Want – Grease

Of course there are a lot more songs that I’d love to dance to, but I’m going to leave it at these!

One day when I have a bit more time I’ll put all of my Music Monday playlists on Spotify (or at least I’ll try haha) What songs do you love to dance to?

Music Monday: Crush Your Enemies

Music Monday is a bi-weekly link-up hosted by Bridget from Stay and Watch the Stars. You may remember that last week I said I was going to make two playlists, well here’s number two! If you want to check out my previous Crush playlist, click here.

Warriors – Imagine Dragons

Here we are, don’t turn away now. We are the warriors who build this town.

In Which I Kick Harry Potter in the Face – Draco and the Malfoys

I’m gonna kick you in the face. I might do it 27 times just in case. I know nothing could ever replace, the picture in my mind of your kicked in face.

Ready, Aim, Fire – Imagine Dragons

With our backs to the wall, the darkness will fall. We never quite thought we could lose it all. Ready, aim, fire, ready, aim, fire.

Bad Blood – Taylor Swift

‘Cause baby now we’ve got bad blood. You know it used to be mad love. So take a look at what you’ve done. ‘Cause baby now we’ve got bad blood.

Bleeding Out – Imagine Dragons

I’m bleeding out. So if it the last thing that I do, is bring you down. I’ll bleed out for you.

Hunt You Down – Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls

You can run on for a long time. Run on for a long time. Run on for a long time, but sooner or later I’m a-hunt you down. But on or later I’m a-hunt you down.

Radioactive – Imagine Dragons

I raise my flag, dye my clothes. It’s a revolution I suppose. We’re painted red, to fit right in.

Spells and Scars – Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls

Boy you’ve got some nerve to think you’ve got a chance, to take down the master with his infinite, power and conviction to our noble cause. So you’ll need more than spells and scares.

Rotten to the Core – Descendants

Mirror on mirror on the wall, who’s the baddest of them all? Welcome to my wicked world.

This is War – 30 Seconds to Mars

It’s the moment of truth and the moment to lie. The moment to live and the moment to die. The moment to fight, the moment to fight. To fight, to fight, to fight.

Battle Cry – Imagine Dragons

Nobody can save me now. The only sound is the battle cry. The battle cry. The battle cry. Nobody can save me now. It’s do or die.

Can you tell I love Imagine Dragons? And remember when I said that this playlist might be my first one without Disney? Yeah, I lied. Rotten to the Core couldn’t be left out. If one day I form an evil squad, I want this to be my theme song. Am I the only one who finds it kind of funny that I put Bleeding Out after Bad Blood? Anyway! If you made a playlist, share it with me in the comments! I’d love to check yours out. Also, any Imagine Dragons fans out there?

Music Monday: Crush On You

Or maybe more like Music Thursday? Oh well!

Music Monday is a bi-weekly link-up hosted by Bridget from Stay and Watch the Stars. The theme is ‘Crush’ and Bridget said it could be either a romantic crush, or like a ‘crush your enemies’ kind of playlist, so I decided to make two playlists! To make it clear which one is which, I decided to call the romantic one ‘Crush On You’.

My playlist

Sooner – Andrew Allen

Teenage Dream – Boyce Avenue

I love the original, but this cover is just so cute.

On My Mind – Brad Kavanagh

Be My Forever – Christina Perri ft. Ed Sheeran

Outlaws – David Lambert

All About Us – He Is We ft. Owl City

I Won’t Say (I’m In Love) – Hercules

You – Hollywood Ending

Someday – IU

This song is so beautiful and cute and Dream High <3

I Must Be Dreaming – The Maine

Ships In The Night – Mat Kearney

The Hourglass – The Morning Off

Perfect For Me – Show Me The Skyline

I See The Light – Tangled

Did I Mention – Descendants

Did I Mention I’m obsessed with both this song and movie

So far it’s been impossible for me to create a playlist without any Disney haha. BUT! My Crush Your Enemies playlist is Disney-less. I think. I’m very tempted to add Be Prepared (because it’s a great song and even greater to listen to while crushing thy enemies). If you’ve made a playlist for Music Monday, share it with me in the comments!

Music Monday: Nostalgia

It’s time for another Music Monday! Except that it’s Friday. Ssssh.

Music Monday is a bi-weekly link-up hosted by Bridget from Stay and Watch the Stars. This time the theme is ‘nostalgia’.

My playlist

You can also listen to this playlist on 8tracks.

Wish – Arashi

The song that introduced me to Arashi! Also my favourite Japanese drama <3

Crashed the Wedding – Busted

Probably not my first song (I honestly don’t remember which one was my first Busted song), but one of my favourites! I even made a music video for it with a friend haha.

Sakura Kiss – Chieko Kawabe

The opening song to my favourite anime! <3

Hakuna Matata – Lion King

Except the Dutch version is more nostalgic to me haha.

Pokémon Theme

This wasn’t just the theme song of Pokémon, it was the theme of my life.

Hanging by a Moment – Lifehouse

First song I heard of Lifehouse, now one of my favourite bands. I especially love to listen to them when I’m writing.

Under the Sea – The Little Mermaid

Again, the Dutch version is more nostalgic to me!

I’ll Be There for You – The Rembrandts

CLAP CLAP (I’m 100% positive I’m not the only one who claps haha)

Tale As Old As Time – Beauty and the Beast

And once again, Dutch version is more nostalgic, though I definitely prefer this one (as with all the Disney songs I prefer the original)

If you made a playlist for Music Monday I’d love to listen to it, so feel free to share the link to your post in the comments! Are any of these songs nostalgic to you as well?

– The Writing Hufflepuff
